Cafe shut until 7 September 2024
The cafÃĐ at the the Oakwood Centre is now shut and will remain closed until Saturday 7 September to facilitate the change to our new catering provider, local cafÃĐ specialists Crumbs.
Leisure Centre Recruitment
We are currently looking for proactive and positive individuals to join our team in the role of Duty Manager.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of our leisure operations and expected to deliver a high quality and safe experience for all those who visit the Leisure Centre.

New cafe coming soon to the Oakwood Centre
After many years, Brown Bag have decided to leave the Oakwood Centre.
Weâll be sad to see them go, but we are delighted to welcome, in their place, local cafe specialists Crumbs!
To facilitate this change, the cafe at the Oakwood Centre will close on 22nd August at midday and will re-open on Saturday 7th September.
WPLC Development Survey results
We have now published a report showing the responses to our WPLC Development survey.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond.
We received a total of 1,339 responses, of which:
- 77.67% were from Woodley residents
- 66.32% were from people aged 30-59 years old
- 67 were from people identifying as having a disability
- 181 were from non-centre users.

Youth provision engagement events
We are delighted to be funding two youth activity sessions for young people aged 11-18 years old, run by Berkshire Youth
The events are part of a Council-led project to engage with Woodley’s young people in order to get their thoughts and ideas about our future youth provision offering.
Both events are open to young people aged 11-18 years old, are free, and there is no need to book. Please just turn up and enjoy, as well as taking the opportunity for young people to Have their Say on youth services in Woodley.
